When you organize multiple events that have the same structure in terms of ticketing, it is useful to copy an event. This manual looks in more detail at which settings are included when copying and which additional steps are required to fully and correctly copy your event.
The following settings are taken from the selected event when copying:
- Points of sale
- Products
- E-Ticket Templates
- Payment methods
- Service Fees
- Questionnaire(s)
- Product Categories
- Priority groups
- Vouchers
Note: Copying an event does not mean that the above settings can no longer be adjusted.
Step 1: Select the desired event
Go to 'Manage', after which the event can be selected that you want to copy.
Step 2: Copy
After the right event is selected, the 'Event dashboard' will appear. Select 'Copy' to copy the event.
Step 3: Set up event formation
After copying, the steps of the event wizard appear. These are the same steps you follow when you create a new event, but now certain aspects are copied from the previously selected event. The 'Event Details' must be entered, the following are mandatory:
- Event Name
- Event Start and End
- City
- Location
- Country
Click ‘Next’ after you’ve filled in the necessary information.
Step 4: Points of sale
The desired points of sale can then be selected under 'points of sale'. Here you can also see that the same points of sale are activated by copying the event.
Click ‘Next’ once all relevant points of sale have been selected.
Step 5: Products
In the next step, copied products can be selected and adapted (If necessary). You can also add products here by selecting 'Create a new product'.
Click ‘Next’ once all relevant products have been added.
Step 6: Sales periods
In the next step, the sales periods must be adjusted. Because the new event is on a new date, those of the previously selected event are not copied. You can adjust the sales period of the event under 'Sales periods', after which the sales period per product can be set under ‘Products sale period’.
Click ‘Next’ once you added all your sales periods.
Step 7: Fulfillment types
Then activate 'E-Tickets' and click 'Next’. We also offer different fulfillment options, please contact your Client Success Manager for more information.
Step 8: Payment methods
Under 'Payment methods' select the desired payment options for your fans.
Now select 'Finish' to create the event. You have now created a new event via the copy feature.
