SeeTickets offers you, as an organizer, the tools to create a positive fan experience, entirely in line with our white-label philosophy. Components of this include additional services, such as cancellation insurance (Refund Protection) for your fans.
Refund Protection is managed by the insurer Booking Protect and can be offered to your fans as an additional service. The fan purchases Refund Protection during the booking process. By purchasing Refund Protection, the fan agrees to the terms and conditions of Booking Protect. If, due to certain events or circumstances, the fan is unable to attend your event, they can then file a claim with Booking Protect. However, these circumstances must fall within the specified terms and conditions. Booking Protect only protects the fan if they themselves cannot attend the event due to exceptional circumstances.
What are the benefits for you as the organizer?
If your fan has purchased Refund Protection through Booking Protect, you as the organizer are not responsible for refunding the order value or the costs of the refund. If the claim is approved, Booking Protect will reimburse the amount, allowing you as the organizer to retain the ticket revenue and resell the tickets.
By offering Refund Protection, you provide your fans with an additional service to protect themselves against unforeseen events. If you have a non-refund policy for your events, offering Refund Protection still allows fans the opportunity to receive a refund.
How can the fan file a claim?
The fan must create an account on the Booking Protect website, after which they can file a claim for a refund. This process is outlined in the terms and conditions of Booking Protect, to which the fan must agree.
How can I activate this?
The Refund Protection service for fans is often already activated. If this is not the case for you, please contact your Client Success Manager.*
