Create discount code

This article explains how to set up a discount code. With a discount code, a fixed amount or percentage can be deducted during checkout.

Create voucher group
  1. Go to 'Dashboard' and select the desired event.
  2. Go to 'Tools' and then 'Vouchers'.
  3. Tick the field 'Allow discount for this event' and then save. (Contact your client success manager if this option is not yet visible).
  4. At the bottom, under 'New voucher group name', enter the title of the voucher group. Use a title that is logical for you to find back later. This title is not visible to the consumer, only in the Backoffice.
  5. Under 'Voucher group type', select the radio button 'Discount voucher' and then click 'Add voucher group'.

  1. Click on the voucher group you just created.
  2. Add your discount code(s). This can be done in two ways: Manually: click the pink button 'Add' and enter your own discount code(s). If you want to add more than one, repeat this step. CSV file: upload your own CSV file with multiple discount codes or use this tool to create discount codes.
  3. Select the product for which the discount should apply.
  4. Now decide how many euros or what percentage discount the code should give. This can be done in 2 ways: 'Discount amount': enter here the amount in euros that the code should discount. 'Discount percentage': enter here the percentage that the code should discount.
  5. Set the start and end date for when the discount code(s) are valid and can be entered.
  6. Are you using a generic discount code (for example: discount5)? Then leave 'No maximum availability' ticked. In that case, the code is valid without limit within the period set above.
  7. Are you using unique discount codes that may only be used once? Then deselect 'No maximum availability' and enter '1' under 'Maximum availability'.
Optional
  1. Choose the minimum and/or maximum number of tickets per order with a discount. (Have you already set the amount or percentage at product level? Then leave this option empty).
  2. Do you want to give a discount on the entire order instead of on specific products? Enter the desired amount or percentage under 'Amount/percentage discount on the order'.
  3. Click 'Save changes'.

Make voucher code valid for a ticket shop
  1. Go to 'Sales configuration'.
  2. On the right, click the three dots of the desired ticket shop in which the discount code should work and go to 'Edit sale'.
  3. Scroll down and click 'Advanced settings'.
  4. Tick the discount group you created.
  5. Then click 'Save changes'.

Finally, test whether the settings are correct by testing the code yourself in the shop.
