How to make reservations for your event possible

With the reservations tool a partner, fan or guest can apply for a ticket or other product. This application can be automaticly approved or denied. You can use this feature as an accreditation tool for partners and guest, or use it to collect pre-registrations from loyal fans for an exclusive early bird sale for example.

How to set-up the 'Reservations' sales channel
  1. Go to 'Create' > 'Sales Channels' and create a new sales channel.
  2. Choose type 'Online' and give the channel a suitable name, like 'Reservations'.
  3. Make sure to activate the 'Requires approval' option.
  4. Save the settings and click the pink button 'Create channel'.
  5. Then go the desired event via 'Events' and click on 'Sale Configuration'. Add the products you would like to make available for the reservation.
  6. Click on the black button 'Edit' on the right side to set the details for the sales channel properly.
  7. Under the 'Reservation settings' heading, choose how long a registration remains valid, before and after it is approved.
  8. Finally, share the Sales URL so that partners or guests can request their own reservation or registration.
  9. Any payment follows only after a reservation is approved (read about this further in this article).

This works in a different way than the regular payment methods.
Manage your reservations
You can manage your reservations on the overview page. You can also approve, remove or add payments to the reservations. This page shows you the following options:
  1. Approve or approve with bank transfer
  2. Edit
  3. Decline
  4. Redo (this gives you the opportunity to copy paste the reservation including all customer data)
Notes
When the reservation is approved the partner or fan will receive an email with the conformation and a payment link. After they've completed their payment they'll receive their tickets. Also when you decline a reservation the person who applied will receive an email to confirm the refusal.
Info
Make sure that whenever you change a reservation after already approving it, you need to approve it again!
