Promote Resale-platform in primary ticketshop

Introduction
When fans are unable to attend an event, there are several players on the market that enable resale.
In these articles (1. Waiting List | 2. Resale Platform), you can already read about the options See Tickets offers to take back control.
Below you can read how resale options for sold-out tickets can be highlighted from within the ticketshop.

Showing resale tickets in the primary ticketshop
Once a ticket type is sold out, the 'Add' button to add something to the shopping basket disappears. Instead, only the text 'Sold out' is shown.
If you use a Waiting List or Resale Platform and a sold-out ticket type is activated for it, you can choose to add a button that automatically links to it.
This has the following advantages:
  1. It is clear to fans where they can still go for sold-out tickets. This prevents them from looking for tickets through unreliable platforms.
  2. It is easy to show per ticket type whether a resale option is available. Tickets that have not yet sold out also simply remain available.
  3. There is no need to use banners or extra text to redirect to resale ticket options.
Add resale tickets button to ticketshop
To make the resale button visible in the primary ticketshop, two things are required:
  1. There must be an active resale channel with tickets.
  2. At least one ticket type active for resale must be sold out
  1. Within the desired event, go to 'Sales configuration' and click 'Edit'.
  2. Unfold the 'Advanced settings' menu and go to 'Secondary sales for sold-out products'.
  3. Here you select the resale channel, this will usually only consist of one choice.
  4. a) If you use the Waiting List solution, you don't need to do anything else.
The button will now be shown automatically for tickets that are sold out and available via the Waiting List.
    b) If you are using a Resale platform, you can add the URL of the platform after selecting it.
The button will now be shown automatically for ticket types that are sold out and available through the Resale Platform.

Optionally, you can choose to also add a reference to a resale channel at the top of the shop.
This can be done even if none of the products are sold out yet.
Activate this by ticking 'Show secondary redirect option in shop header'. In addition, a description can also be added at 'Customisable text for secondary sales'.
