Set up of the TikTok pixel and TikTok Events API for a Paylogic Shop
By easily configuring the TikTok Pixel and also the TikTok Events API in the Paylogic backoffice you can track all behaviour of your fans in TikTok. With the addition of the TikTok Events API you will capture more data and benefit with more accurate attribution data of your marketing campaigns.
Follow the steps below to set it up:
- Create a TikTok Business account here or sign in with your existing account.
- Log in to TikTok Ads Manager.
- Follow this TikTok article to set up a pixel and/or generate an access token for the TikTok Events API. Don’t forget to read the ‘Before you begin’ section.
- Copy your TikTok Pixel ID and access token and go to the Paylogic backoffice.
- Go to the event where you want to use the TikTok pixel for and go to the ‘Marketing tags’ menu.
- Select ‘TikTok Pixel’ and fill in the TikTok pixel ID and access token that you copied in step 4.
- Confirm with ‘Save changes’.
- You have now successfully set up the TikTok pixel & Events API and will automatically receive events in your TikTok Ads Manager.
Which information is sent to TikTok?
We send the following events to TikTok with these parameters:
- PageView
- ViewContent:
- content_id: Event ID
- content_name: Event ID + URL path of the shop
- content_category: Event Title
- content_type: product
- AddToCart:
- content_id: Product ID
- Quantity: Amount of tickets added for the product
- PlaceAnOrder:
- content_name: Event ID + URL path of the shop
- content_category: Event Title
- content_type: product
- currency: Currency
- value: Total amount of the transaction
- quantity: Total amount of tickets in the order
- spu_name: Product Title
- content_id: Product ID
